They can change the story all they want. The writers for GOT ruined their final season honestly destroying my love for this series. Fulling knowing Rhaenyra dies i want them to make her her as badass and awesome as possible. Make this series worth something. Because we dont know when and if GRRM will ever finish the series.

I believe Rhaenya is the rightful Queen. This was her father's wish. He may not have been the strongest king, but he was wise. His daughter may not be perfect, but she is wise like her father, and being queen is her birth right. THE BLACKS #1❤

Rhaenyra didn’t shirk her responsibilities when she was younger… Her father (with prodding from Otto) constantly pushed away her thoughts and ideas, and never let her participate in anything involving the Small Council or anything other than her responsibility as a cup bearer. When he found out she went ahead and confronted Daemon at Dragonstone about taking baby Baelon’s egg for his supposed baby, he had a fit. He should have been relieved that she was proving herself to be a competent person when given responsibilities. He just didn’t want her to get hurt, and he should have encouraged her to do more things like that (especially if he didn’t go do those things himself)!! Viserys STIFLED her, yet she quickly outgrew the arrogance we see when she is younger, and that matured into tenacity and strength. She did all of that IN SPITE OF Otto whispering in her father’s ear. That’s another reason why she DESERVES to be heir.

Team Black Always. Rhaenyra was named the heir by Viserys in front of all the noble houses and vassals. She has grown into a mature woman and is set to be a MUCH better, more levelheaded and stable ruler than Aegon could EVER be. She is married to Daemon, who was considered the initial heir before her father even named her, and they have children together who can inherit if anything were to happen to Jace. She has Corlys and Rhaenys backing her, acting as sort of defacto parents to her (as she has lost her parents, and they have lost their children), and they love and accept her kids. Also, the entire Black Council is close, save for maybe Rhaenys and Daemon. Yes, Daemon is a wild card. He is chaos. He may make some decisions she wishes he hadn’t… but this is about who is the rightful person to sit the throne. If Aegon sits the throne, he will make too many drunken, angry mistakes, and that will eventually trickle down to the rest of mankind dying in the war with the Others. So, that’s what it boils down to, for me.

Alicent is a major reason that the war happened. Otto created the situation but Alicent fomented the hatred her children feel towards Rhaenyra and her kids. Too late to repent

Team Rhaenyra because she is the true heir to the Iron Throne and with Daemons support they will get the 7 kingdoms united. The Hightower's took advantage of Viserys' illness and never communicated to Rhaenyra that her father was sick and dying. So after the dinner that ended in a fight Alicent should have insisted that Rhaenyra stay close by or in her old rooms at the castle because she knew that his death was coming soon. But instead she thought that the rambling of Viserys as he lay dying was about her son Aegon who is a lazy coward would do a better job. I mean damn, his own father knew that he was lazy and weak so he never named him to be his heir instead of Rhaenyra in the first place. Second he never told his children with Alicent about the conqueror's dream/ prophecy about the song of Ice and Fire. So they don't know anything about the prince that was promised but I can tell you Aegon is not the prince that was promised. I hope this new season is a good one ❤

The prophecy points to Jon Snow. He united all of the houses and he was the real heir. It makes way more sense to be jon. Jon was the targaryen who united the houses. I don't count D&Ds made up ended.

Hypothetically even if the greens did give up the iron throne....Rhaenyra would still have cause to take action against them for what they did to Luke.

Rhaenyra is Visery’s first born child. Despite the fact that he was chosen king over Rhenys, is because the people didn’t want a woman on the throne. And he decreed this decision of his heir to be Rhaenyra, to the people. And never changed his mind. But Alicent, by now well-schooled by Otto, grabbed at the ramblings of a sick, old man on his deathbed, knowing he didn’t know what he was saying. Rhaenyra is the Queen! Long live the Queen!!

These are the reasons why I am rooting for Team Green. Especially with Alicent's better judgment. She didn't ask for the circumstances where she's in, but she obviously has better judgment.
